first and foremost we would like to thank you for your request. We are very happy that we could draw your interest on the Kaege RETRO.
The Fundament:
You might already know that the RETRO is technically based upon the Porsche 993. Thus - unlike our competitors - we strictly revert to the best air-cooled standard technology that has ever been engineered at Porsche.
The suspension, the engine, the transmission, the electronic system, the air condition, the fuel system the brakes and the steering gear have been thoroughly overhauled and preserved in their original state – let alone some minimal modifications and optimizations.
By using the VIN, any spare parts are easily available at any Porsche dealership worldwide. That also means, the RETRO comes with the original OBD-equipment and requires only little maintenance - just as the 993 did.
The Process:
First of all, the basic vehicle has to be entirely disassembled – literally until the very last screw. We adjust the shape of the body in order to precisely fit in the custom Kaege F-model parts. All of the screwed body panels are made from carbon – an approved lightweight but solid alternative to conventional steel parts.
During we change the look of the body all of the technical parts are overhauled. All screws are replaced or get an electroplated finish. We take care of all the details in order to ensure that you will receive nothing less than a completely new car in the end.
Simultaneously the whole interior will be renewed by our specialists. To ensure both style and quality, we only work with the most classy and precious materials.
The final interior look, the leather and all other materials will be your choice.
After the paintwork is done we re-install all the technical and interior components back into the chassis.
In order to ensure a proper run-in period of the engine and an immaculate functionality in each and every regard, every RETRO has to undergo thousand kilometres of test drives.
All you will have to do: Get in the car and have fun driving!
The Facts:
Approved standard Porsche 993 technology, such as air condition, cruise control, sunroof, transmission etc.
LED Headlights, vintage style Radio-navigation system, hands free function for cell phone, Recaro seats, rims in the traditional "Fuchs" design, KW Suspension, Liteblox battery an some other features that we can integrate for you according your individual preferences. Every car will be unique.
The Price:
The whole manpower sums up 2,500 hours of work per vehicle. The costs for all necessary parts amount to 80,000 € plus tax – depending also on the level of customization.
The price for the car is 356,000 € (incl. German 19% VAT).
The expenses of purchase for the base vehicle are not included - but of course we can obtain and provide you with a 993.
Your Patience:
As each Kaege RETRO is a mere piece of handwork, the entire production takes us about 12 months after the day of order.
In order to ensure the utmost level of quality and perfection, our production capacities are limited to two more vehicles in 2016 and up to four cars in 2017.
